The blast at Chishti Dargah in Ajmer was a wake-up call for the intelligence agencies that terrorist are spreading their wings.

However, the blasts at Jaipur have shown that the authorities were yet again caught napping. Although Rajasthan has not been on the terrorists’ radar till now, Jaipur being an international tourist city should have been prepared for such an event. Also as the IPL matches are going on in the city, extra security measures should have been put in place.

As usual the state and the centre will play politics and blame each other. Some reports suggest that there was intelligence input about this attack. Well, if this is true, obviously the authorities did not make any use of the information. Even if a general alert had been sounded, people would have become cautious about their surroundings and perhaps the incident could have been prevented.

Weather it be the serial blasts in Mumbai trains or the attack in Jaipur, terrorists have proved that they can strike at will anywhere they want.

We should have a single nationwide intelligence network and they should work in co-ordination with police departments of all the states as well as the border security force (BSF) and the army.

The complaisant “chalta hai” attitude is solely to blame for such incidents. Unless each one of us, and specially the police officials, start believing that “we are going to be the next target” we will never be able to beat the terrorists.

I really feel bad for all the victims of the bombings in Jaipur, India.

I have many co-workers as Indian in my office, In fact I have a few friends from India myself. Most of us really like the Indian people and we also love Indian food and culture.

We all are praying for you, and hope that there are no more bombs. I just hope that it is not more Islamic terrorism.

This is insane, killing so many innocent people ? A horrible crime.

I nod in agreement when u bring the issue of lacklusture attitude of the Indian officials, name ”chalta hai ” .... With teroristbeing successful in thier attempt to terrorise people, we hope this blast at an international tourist destination does the trick ! who knows this time around we might see the fofficials pulling up thier socks?

As tempting as it may seem to put the blame of all the attacks of some not-so-vigilant authority, I would reiterate that we should thank god for making more sane people for it’s the easiest thing to do for some kind of a deviant psychopath to plant a bomb anywhere in the world. No one cares if a bicycle is left astray on the road and people who have never faced such a situation are not paranoids to expect a bomb ticking away in every random bag. Such insinuations should be avoided for no police or security can predict when and where will such accidents take place the best measure is to prevent as soon as one gets an idea, crisis and disaster management remain the only realistic solutions
